Mini Service Project Hawai'i 2012

Project Hawai'i is designed as a four week program. Due to the request of shorter time limitations some teens encounter, we have designed mini tour to accommodate shorter periods. We have redesigned the one and only tour into sessions to best fit the programs success without interruption of the homeless children. Our first session tours teens work with the their camp buddies at Adventures Abound Day Camp, and the second session teens volunteer at the Sleepover Camp and Graduation.

First Session Mini Tours:

(The first Session consists of working with the homeless children at the Adventures Abound Day Camp)

14-Day Adventures Hawai'i Teen Mentoring Program

Dates: June 27th - July 11th $4,900.00

During this tour, teens will start their adventure on the island of O'ahu. During the first few days we spend time getting to know each other and getting use to the new environment and climate of the islands. This island will allow the teens to experience many cultural events and explore the most beautiful beaches in the world. Our beach front hotel is only steps away from the tiki torch lit white sands of the famous Waikiki boasting local talent, world class shopping and the so unbeatable culture.

Off to the island of Hawai'i also known as the Big Island where the teens will meet their camp buddies and guide them through the planned activities of summer camp. Teens work with the little one's from 9:00A - 3:30P and accompany them on their adventures. Some of the camp adventures include visits to the Pana'ewa Zoo, Imiloa Astronomy Center, live theater at the historic Palace Theater, guided Tide Pool Exploration, and so much more of the islands wonders.

During the evenings teens will be introduced to Hawaiian culture with various activities, local foods, sightseeing and lessons.

The weekends are packed with travel and adventure. Teens will explore the island from the oceans to the volcanic mountains. Embarking on snorkel cruises, sailing, beach exploration and more. Back to the island of Oahu for the teens farewell party and departures.

Second Session Mini Tour:

(The second session consists of working with the children at the sleepover camp at the Nature Retreat and the Graduation Ceremony.)

15-Day Ultimate Culture and Edu-Camp Teen Mentoring Program

Dates: July 11th - July 26th $4,950.00

Dolphins at Teen Summer Camp in Hawaii

This tour starts off on the island of O'ahu where teens will embark in many cultural activities including their surf lessons provided by pipeline champions. Teens will spend a few days on this island exploring the beautiful beaches and getting use to the climate changes. Teens will attend their world re-noun leadership workshop before meeting their camp buddies. Our hotel is just steps away from the white sands beach of Waikiki.

Off to the Big Island where the teens will have a day before they head up to the majestic mountains of Honoka'a for their retreat style sleepover camp. Teens will also enjoy the zip line adventure through the botanical gardens and tropical jungles. Waterfall hiking and swimming will also add a flavor of the island. During the sleepover camp, teens will work along side their camp buddies and guide them through the many planned activities both day and night. Some activities include science day, water wars, glam night, monster movie night, live plays and more excitement for the time of your life!! Teen Summer Camp in Hawaii

We understand that teens need a break from the little one's, so they will be on their own adventures to sacred lands of Waipio Valley, (this tour is not open to the public or for access by tourists). The teens will also be participating in their Hula lessons and learning to make authentic Hawaiian foods. Teens will visit various parts of the island as well.

After our sleepover camp is over, teens will head to the West side of the island for a dolphin tour, beach exploration before they get ready for the graduation Lu'au. During the graduation, teens will have the opportunity to put their new found cultural skills to the test by presenting an authentic Lu'au for their camp buddies and their family. Back to the island of O'ahu for their own graduation farewell and departures!! Teens will dance the night away....well until curfew and then enjoy their ceremony.

11 Day Intensive Mentoring Program at Edu-Camp on the Big Island of Hawai'i

Dates: July 14th - July 25th $3,550.00

The tour is similar to the above expect the teens will ARRIVE and DEPART from the Big Island of Hawai’i. They will NOT participate in the outer island tours or adventures. This program was designed for those teens who have limited time and wish to experience truly making a difference in the lives of the homeless children.
Teens will travel to Waikoloa, Kona and participate in the weekend adventures while on Big Island. For more complete outline and details please be sure to look over the calendar.

Teens will meet their camp buddies and help them get settled in the cabins. Help them pick out their sleeping bags/pillow and get their hygiene together. Then teens will freshen up and settle in before our Camp Fire and roasting marshmallows. Teens will then help get their buddies ready for bed
