Julian Ha, Esq.

Julian Ha is a Global Managing Partner in the Heidrick & Struggles Washington, D.C. office and leads the firm’s Government and Corporate Affairs Practice.  Julian also founded and leads the firm’s Association practice and is a member of the CEO & Board of Directors practice.

Prior to executive search, Julian practiced corporate law in New York, Singapore, and London and advised multinational corporations on their IPOs, venture capital investments, and cross-border M&A transactions. He has also operated as a venture capitalist in London, headed the European business development efforts of Capital IQ, a financial software company, and was a director in the corporate finance group of ESCL, a British merchant bank.

Julian is seasoned in public and private company Board governance and currently serves on the boards of the Public Affairs Council and Chairs the Board of AESC which represents the global retained executive search and leadership consulting profession. He is a Senior Advisor to Applecart, Advisor to The Venture Dept. and Executive Committee Member of K Street Capital.  He is a member of the Economic Club of Washington, D.C.

Julian graduated from Cornell University, the London School of Economics, Harvard University, NYU School of Law, and London Business School. He is a Chinese speaker of Shanghainese and Mandarin.
