Pipa Beginner I (琵琶初级班 I)

Join us on a fun and beginner-friendly journey with the pipa, China’s ancient lute! You’ll learn the basics—right-hand plucking and tremolo (“tan, tiao, lun”) and left-hand techniques like vibrato and string-bending (“tui, la, yin, rou”)—while exploring Chinese notation and scales. Discover the pipa’s history and major styles, and bring melodies to life with traditional pieces like Ancient Tunes of Yingzhou (瀛洲古调) and White Snow in Spring (阳春白雪), plus tunes from movies, TV, and games.
